Permit me to use this medium to wish the Christians a Happy All Saints day. Although this blog is not a religious group nor has it any religious affiliation, I post this blog, with a strict permission of the Blog Owners. The little argument buttressed hereunder does not reflect the opinion of this Blog nor of the Owners.
My argument is based on the belief by some Christians, especially in the non-western States, that Halloween does not reflect the tenets of the Christian faith.
I sincerely disagree with opinion. Although it is now a social festival, it is not 'fetish.' It means 'All Hallows Eve.' Remarkably, it is celebrated a night before the All Saints Day, which is a day set aside by the Christian faith to remember the departed ones whom they feel has made it to Heaven. There is a great significance to this coincidence. It reflects, in the spiritual sense, a belief that the world is transient. This explains why every participant dresses in a disguised manner, to show that the journey after is not earthly, usual, but can still be imagined as fun-filled. All Hallows Eve, reflects the 'HALOS' that is usually drawn around the head of the imagined saints.
Therefore, I believe that Halloween is not against Christian tenets.
