The Police upon investigation, however, found out that the man, who is a convicted felon, lied to them. Hence, his consequent arrest.

However, when the police inquired from him the cause of the wound, he said that he was shot by a 'black guy' that tried robbing while he was disposing of his bin at his apartment.
Upon further investigation by the police, no further evidence corroborating Watson's position was found other than the testimony of a witness who said he heard screams from Watson’s apartment about 1:00 a.m. that morning.
Based on this testimony, according to our source, Police issued a search warrant for the inside of Watson’s apartment because of the conflicting stories, and found what appeared to be bullet fragments on Watson’s bed.Also, the source stated that the officers did not locate the gun but an empty gun case was found.
It is striking to observe that Watson kept on changing his story until he admitted that he was examining the gun, then placed it in his pocket where the gun discharged, striking him in the penis. Watson would not tell the officers who was selling him the gun and where the gun is now.
